The institute was established in the year 2010, with prime objectives to meet growing need of skilled technicians ot diploma level felt by state government to state with courses of three branches civil , mechanical & electronics and telecommunication engineering.

The diploma courses of the institute is well recognised by all india council for technical education (aicte). also this institute is affiliated by to the chhattisgarh swami vivekanand technical university bhilai.
